Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to be or become a horse coach to become a Horsepower® practitioner?
No. As a Horsepower® practitioner you do not work as a horse coach, but with the Horsepower® tools and reports. You guide clients and organizations from A to Z throughout the process. The added value of the practitioner lies in interpreting the findings and recommendations from the EQ scans and translating them into the client’s context. You help teams and leaders not only gain insight but also guide them through the process of internalization, transformation, and implementation.
What does the accreditation program look like?
The training consists of two in-person days at Horse Act in Zoutleeuw and one online day. This way, you experience the power of working with horses yourself and learn how to apply the Horsepower® methodology concretely in your own practice.
What do I get after accreditation?
As a practitioner, you gain unlimited access to our online portal with video material, downloadable documents, questionnaires, templates, etc., as well as all Horsepower® reports of your clients. This ensures you always have the resources to professionally guide programs. You also become part of the Horsepower® community, where you can ask questions and share ideas.
Is there a better pricing arrangement for practitioners and their clients?
Absolutely! As a Horsepower® practitioner, you share in the revenue and receive a commission on the sale of Horsepower® products. Together, we’re building our community — and everyone benefits from it.
Can I also attend scans and assessments with horses?
Yes. As a practitioner you may participate as an observer during live Horsepower® scans and assessments of your clients. Within three working days you will then receive the official report, which you can use to support your team or coachee.
Do I have to work with horses?
Not necessarily. As a practitioner, you learn to use the metaphor of the herd and its wisdom in your work. Work with horses only takes place during scans or assessments and is always supervised by certified Horse Act coaches.
What if I (or my client) am afraid of horses?
Fear of horses is not a problem. As a practitioner you do not need to work intensively with horses yourself. For clients, there are also alternatives: during the Horsepower® live scan, observation can be limited to a safe distance (behind the paddock fence). This way, the program remains accessible to everyone.
Who is this program for?
The training is intended for trainers, coaches, consultants, and HR professionals who want to enrich their practice with a unique, experiential tool. You already have experience guiding people or teams and are looking for a methodology that goes beyond classical models.
What is the added value compared to traditional assessments?
Traditional assessments often measure skills or cognitive abilities. The Horsepower® scan goes one step further: it makes visible how someone actually behaves in the moment — in leadership, collaboration, communication, and resilience. The direct and honest mirroring behavior of horses provides insights that are not theoretical but tangible and applicable. As a practitioner, you translate these insights into the daily practice of your clients or organization.
You prefer to experience our Horsepower® model yourself?
Very good idea! Enroll for a personal live scan and experience our services from the inside out. Read and study your own report and share your feedback with us. We are happy to answer all your questions.
